Background
LifeLine Ministries of Northern Kentucky was established after two years of intense prayer, education, discovery, evaluation, and guidance. Its founders sought to demonstrate the love, acceptance, and peace of Jesus Christ to those in need through relatively simple, yet genuine acts of support. By providing a mechanism to unify the local body of Christ, they believed that God's power, purpose, and directive could be magnified to the benefit of the community.
Vision
To expose as many people as possible to Jesus Christ and his saving grace by creating and executing consistent, unique servant opportunities throughout Northern Kentucky.
Mission
To glorify Jesus Christ while meeting the physical and spiritual challenges of those in need within the Northern Kentucky community by providing an independent forum for ministry and outreach.
Goals & Objectives
- LifeLine Ministries operates a ministry center in Elsmere, Ky where volunteers meet with individuals and families in need of basic resources of groceries, clothing, furniture & bedding, baby related items, household items and fresh produce. The ministry provides these items free of charge to be able to share Jesus Christ in the process of their visit.
- LifeLine Ministries partners with our friends from The Faith Christian Center In Park Hills to lead the Isaiah House Outreach in the parking lot of John G. Carlisle School in Covington, Ky. This outreach takes place on the last Saturday of each month rain or shine at 10:15 am and is one big outdoor give away of colossal proportion. Each month upwards of 200 people, many homeless living on the river bank and the urban poor, brave the elements to receive many of the same items that we offer at the ministry center, only on a mobile basis. (We take the ministry center to them!)
Our Beliefs
We are an independent community ministry as we are not governed by an individual spiritual denomination. We select our own leadership personnel and they direct the affairs of the ministry through their faith, our collective beliefs, and the directives of the Holy Spirit. We believe the following:
God
There is only one God, Creator, and Lord of everything, infinitely perfect, all powerful, all-knowing, and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (The Trinity). —Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 3:16-17, John 14:16, II Corinthians 13:14, Galatians 4:4
Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is without error in the original writing. The Bible was given by God through chosen people, and thus reflects the backgrounds, styles, and vocabulary of human writers. The Bible is the full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice; there are no other writings similarly inspired by God. —Luke 21:13, Romans 15:4, Hebrews 4:12, II Timothy 3:15-17, I Peter 1:25
Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came to earth fully God and fully man through a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived a sinless life and voluntarily died on the cross in our place as full payment for the sins of all people. He arose bodily from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father where he is the only One who is able to provide access and reconciliation between God and people. He will return personally and visibly to earth and those who have believed in Him will be united with God eternally in Heaven. Those who have not believed in Him will be separated from God, and spend eternity in Hell because of their sin. —Matthew 1: 18-23, Luke 24: 1-8, John 14:16, Romans 5:8-11, I Corinthians 15: 3-6, II Corinthians 5:17-21, Hebrews, 4:14-16, Revelation 19:20
Ministry
We should give the love and redemption of Jesus Christ away to a lost world through tangible acts of outward focused evangelism. —Acts 4:32, Ephesians 5:2, Matthew 10:42, 1 Samuel 12:20, Romans 12:6-8
Unity
Humbly serving side by side with Christ followers and Christ seekers of many different denominations to further the Kingdom of Christ. —Acts 20:19, Colossians 3:15, Ephesians 4:3, Psalm 133:1, Romans 15:5
Giving
God gave his only Son, Jesus, to pay our sin debt. As a result of this ultimate gift of sacrifice, we are called to give as generously as we can of ourselves and our resources that God allows us to use while here on earth. Dying was the most He could do, giving for him is the least we can do. —John 3:16, Matthew 25:35, Proverbs 18:16, Proverbs 21:26, Romans 12:13
Reconciliation
We are all broken and hopeless without Christ Jesus in our lives. God provides opportunities for ministry through life's unexpected trials, enabling reconciliation to occur for His purpose. —2 Corinthians 5:18, Romans 5:15, 2 Corinthians 5:20
