"Providing the LINE to eternal life through Jesus Christ"

"Affirmation" is a declaration that something is true, or in the realm of ministry and outreach, that God is blessing your efforts for HIS kingdom and reinforcing the purpose for which you serve HIM. In God's perfect timing, he provides a glimpse of the ministry's effectiveness in touching lives for Jesus Christ. As we receive cards & letters from grateful folks we've been blessed to minister to, we want to share them with you so you can celebrate with us God's movement in the lives of others. Please give God thanks for the following selection of written testimonials we've received recently:"

Survivor.....St. Luke

A lady came into shop where I work today. She was walking very carefully due to a massive place on her leg. We began talking and she shared that she had serious sarcoma cancer 16 cm square wide, which was removed in June and a graft has been done. As we talked, she told me her operation was at St. Luke West, where I volunteer as a Lifeline chaplain. She began to tell me of a person bringing her a Lifeline bag with a puzzle book and Bible. She expressed her joy and thankfulness in receiving tihs gift from a stranger, but how great she felt. As a sarcoma cancer survivor.too, I was touched by her attitude toward her future, knowing that Jesus had not called her home, but left her on earth to do great things.

At St Luke West Wednesday, I visited with a Muslim woman, who spoke little English. My daughter had taught me an Arabic greeting to use when meeting people.. The moment I said the word, she raised her head up, her eyes brightened and she smiled. She tried to thank me in Engliish. Knowing she was having surgery in several hours, I prayed for her "in the name of Jesus", because these people believe in the prophet, Jesus. Again, she thanked me, but I was just happy her worried demeanor had changed. That shows us all that sharing the love of Jesus in many different ways is effective in touching someone's life. She touched mine,

Cubscouts save Christmas...

Thanks so much to your team for speaking at our Cub Scout meeting last night.  You did a great job of presenting the LifeLine Mission in a way that everyone could understand and relate to.  Thanks also for the baskets that you gave away.  I know those were greatly appreciated.  I am hoping that we can work out the details for the Scouts to help with the basket assembly next month.  You and everyone at LifeLine are doing some wonderful work.  I know my family is looking forward to helping your ministry in the future.

Thanks Again,
Daryl Denham

LifeLine has heart.....

On behalf of our family, we'd like to thank your organization for the care shown to us when Amelia had heart surgery last month.  We actually were able to reach out to two young ladies from Sparta who were there with their Mom in surgery.  We gave them the extra basket you left us & prayed with them.  Doesn't God work in wonderful ways?

Carebags to Hospice nurses and patients....

Dear LifeLine,

Just had to say thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of our St. E. Hospice for the Christmas bags and beautiful music you filled our hearts and building with on Christmas Eve.

God bless each of you!
Mary--One of the nurses

Waiting room warriors.......

Thank you for taking the time to visit with those of us that are waiting for news of our loved one's condition at the hospital.  The basket was a very welcome distraction from the seemingly endless waiting.  The moment of prayer was also very welcomed.

We are grateful that you shared a prayer with us during a difficult time.  It has been almost a week and Dad is showing signs of improvement.  I feel the power of your prayers have worked.  He will have a difficult road ahead and will need strength and determination to carry on (we all will) but I know the Lord is with us and through him, we can accomplish great things.

Thank you and blessings,
Jennifer Ruwe

Blessed by ministry "presence" and "presents"

I just wanted to share with you how your LifeLine Ministry was such a blessing to me!  I was in the hospital a few weeks ago.  I looked out the door and saw two of your group who were at St. Luke West to minister on Saturday morning and they came to visit me.

They came into my room and prayed with me and we shared for a few minutes--what a blessing to me!  They so generously gave me a care bag filled with personal care items.  After they left, I had a smile on my face from their personal ministry.  But I wanted to tell you that every item in that bag was a blessing to me.  The next day, my son and family came to visit me.  I was able to work the small jigsaw puzzle with my 8 year old grandson and I let him take it home with him (blessings forwarded).  My 15 year old grandson did some of the crossword puzzles with me--we had a great time together.  And of course the New Testament and Guidepost magazine were so uplifting.  All the other items were put to good use as well.

I appreciate you and your group.  Your work is so amazing and is touching so many lives.  Isn't God's family wonderful?  Thanks again for your work and please know its appreciated.

God's blessings on you, your family and your ministry,
Joan Carpenter

Carebags reminding hospital patients of God's deep love for them......

Just wanted to say "thanks" to Lifeline for the very encouraging care package I received at my hospital room in St. Luke West.  I had a very scary bout with tonsular cellulitis that led me to the ER in severe pain.  It was a freak side effect of strep and caused my throat to swell almost shut.  After lancing my abscess, they admitted me and I felt even worse the next day.  I was discouraged and in lots of pain, missing my 3 kids and wondering what the Lord was up to.  My nurse brought in a gift bag and said it had been left for me the night before.  I was curious, wondering who had missed visiting hours, but when I saw what it was and who it was from, I was so encouraged.  I began to read the Letter from God, following the scripture references for each statement as I used the NT included.  It brought me back into focus on who the Lord is and what He really thinks about me and my pain.  I was hungry for the Word, but mine was at home and your ministry refreshed my spirit.  It lifted my whole day to be able to flip through the goodies and ponder that fact that someone who didn't even know me would love the Lord enough to go out of their way to bless me with these truth filled gifts.

Luke 6 tells us that we should "Give, and it will be given to you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured out into your lap.  For with the measure you give will it be given to you".  I pray that that He will graciously give you all things in Christ and dump a huge load of His Spirit and His blessing into your lives because of the generosity and kindness you are showing to others.   The Gospel is powerful, even to those of us who have heard it thousands of times and it changes our lives and gives us hope and I thank you for the hope that it brought me yesterday!  Keep up the good work.  He is well pleased.

Because of Jesus,
